VARIED ROUTES

Access begins with the environment

The app frames participation broadly and encourages adults to adapt spaces, materials and pace while discussing individual needs through authorised service channels.

An inclusive garden play area with clear paths and adult participation

ACCESS

Many ways to enter

A child may touch, watch, move, communicate, join briefly, repeat or return later. Participation does not need one visible form.

DESIGN

Adjust the environment

Offer stable seating, clear routes, reachable materials, comfortable sound and a quiet retreat before expecting a person to adapt.

COMMUNICATION

Home language belongs

Adults can use familiar words, gesture, visual demonstration and patient wait time without treating English fluency as readiness.

MIXED AGES

Mixed ages need different routes

Separate mouthing-safe infant materials, active movement, detailed construction and calm spaces while preserving shared connection.

AGENCY

Consent in ordinary moments

Ask before joining, touching work, photographing or changing a child's material arrangement. The app itself provides no camera or upload function.

BOUNDARY

Support is specific

Families should discuss access, allergy, communication and care needs directly with the service using its authorised processes.

Designed to reduce digital pressure

Little Field Atlas has no child profiles, points, streaks, leaderboards, public sharing, targeted advertising or prompts designed to maximise time in the app. Success means the screen becomes unnecessary.
